AAMP 2026: Titanmagnetics® for Extraoral Prosthetics
Magnetic Retention for Facial Prostheses: The Titanmagnetics® System Titanmagnetics® is one of the most widely used retention systems for implant-retained facial prostheses. Its two-magnet principle allows the prosthesis to find its position almost on its own. One magnet, the insert, is screwed into the implant. The second magnet is embedded in the prosthesis. Both are welded into surgical titanium, which makes them corrosion-resistant.
Product Lines for Every Requirement Depending on the required retention force, insertion path, and lateral stabilization, we offer several lines:
- X-Line: spherical magnets, also suitable for strongly angulated implants
- Z-Line: larger and stronger than X-Line, with 3.0 N pull-off force
- T-Line: telescopic, axially guided movement, e.g., for auricular prostheses
- K-Line: additional lateral stabilization
- W-Line: flat surface and the highest pull-off force in our range, for nasal septum prostheses and larger defect prostheses
Compatible with Established Extraoral Implant Systems Titanmagnetics® are available for common external-hex systems such as Brånemark, Vistafix2, and Southern Implants IE, as well as for the AHEAD system from BioComp and Epiplating from Medicon.
Precise Impressioning and Processing Magnetic impression posts and laboratory replicas are available for every product line. The impression posts align themselves to the insert. The original inserts stay in the patient and are not contaminated in the laboratory. Special magnetic torque wrench atapter attachments ensure secure insertion under torque control.
