“steco-system-technik GmbH & Co. KG” is a young company basing on historical dental roots. Founded on October 1st. 1996 in Hamburg Steco looks back to over 100 years of dental tradition of the Stemmann family. The first products have been small magnets for application on humans. The idea for the “Titanmagnetics” master dental technician Hartmut Stemmann had in his dental laboratory (founded 1960) back in the 1970’s. Today they are still a focus of Steco’s product range. Other products for dental implantology joined the Titanmagnetics. Since 1999 we offer different types of titanium sleeves for template based implant surgery. Since the beginning of magnetic fixation we are focussed on anaplastology as well, which lead to many special products such as the StecoForm silicone impression material.
Our know-how in machining titanium and laser welding makes us a perfect supplier for dental and medical companies. Our laser welding department is a leading partner for mould construction and casting companies.
Our Team
Dipl.-Economis Hjalmar Stemmann is educated dental technician. He founded Steco in 1996 together with his father Hartmut Stemmann (1932-2014) and Dirk Schwichtenberg. Today he is the owner and general manager of the company.
Dipl.-Ing. Sascha Metzner is educated dental technician and studied biomedical engineering in Hamburg. Since 2004 he is responsible for research and development as well as product management.
If you call us, most likely you will have Ilona Hamann on the phone. She is dental technician and works for Steco since 1998. You can ask her about fiddly cases with quiet conscience.
Dipl.-Ing. Shugufa Saadat cares for our quality management system and regulatory affairs since 2014. So she keeps us on track.
Sandra Gallitzki is responsible for everything that is designed, printed, published or posted. She is a communications specialist and works for Steco since 1998.
Maren Smolny is not only doing the bookkeeping but also takes off the load from the boss since 2011.
Seray Akbalik, BSc, has been working in Regulatory Affairs since 2020. She is fully committed to the careful documentation and authorisation of our medical devices.
In June 2023, Hadija Feihstel successfully completed her 3-year apprenticeship as an office management assistant with us. Since then, she has been working as a team assistant in the areas of sales, marketing and accounting.
Our manufacturing branch is located in the small town Lemgo. On precise CNC lathes not only our magnets and titanium sleeves are made but also small series and single parts for clients from medical and other industries. Our laser welding department welds our gas tight titanium capsules for the Titanmagnetics. Beyond that we repair tools for mold making or casting companies.
Our manufacturing team consist mainly out of engineering technicians and metal working specialists. All processes are integrated in our quality management system.
